What have Richard Avedon, George Hoyningen-Huene, and Irving Penn in common? Apart from being photographers, they share the use of the line in their pictures, each with their particular perspective.
The Concept of Lines is an exhibition where we can see the work of these three prominent photographers who worked for Vogue and other famous magazines like Harper’s Bazaar. Curated by Dr. Sabine Schnakenberg, also curatress of the House of Photography at the Deichtorhallen in Hamburg, the exhibition shows portraits, figure studies, nudes and fashion editorials.
Richard Avedon, George Hoyningen-Huene, and Irving Penn were three of the most influential photographers of the 20th century who uplift the fashion photography with their original portraits. An exhibition for fashion lovers as well as for photography fans.
The Kunstfoyer will host the exhibition The Concept of Lines until the 10th of May of 2018. More information at Versicherungskammer Kulturstiftung website.
