Top concerts in May

Here are our recommended concerts for the month of May:

  • Friday 4th: God Is An Astronaut (Feierwerk). Postrock and ambient for a Friday night.
  • Wednesday 9th: Yo La Tengo (Münchner Kammerspiele). The legendary rock band from USA plays in one of the best locations of Munich. The concert is sold out, but you can always try your luck at the ticket office.
  • Wednesday 9th: Shame (Feierwerk). They have been touring with Gurr and they have gained the reputation of being one of the most vibrating bands of the year.
  • Thursday 10th: Morcheeba (Muffathalle). One of the most representative bands of trip hop. Their concert is sold out too, but you can always try your luck at the door.

  • Tuesday 15th: Toy (Milla Club). Synthesizers, psychedelia, rock and some mystery are the ingredients of this amazing band.
  • Friday 18th: Kamasi Washington (Neue Theaterfabrik). The saxophonist and composer Kamasi Washington makes jazz with a modern twist and have collaborated with Flying Lotus or Kendrick Lamar.

  • Monday 21th: The Wave Pictures (Unter Deck). The British band offers a mix of folk, pop, and rock perfect for a start of the week full of energy.
  • Tuesday 22th: The Damned (Strom). The legendary punk British band visits Munich.
  • Friday 25th: We Are Scientists (Strom). Be ready to dance with them.

  • Saturday 26th: Gordon Raphael (Milla Club). The producer of The Stroke’s two first albums and the Regina Spektor’s debut comes to Munich this time to present his own project as a musician.
  • Monday 28th: Giant Sand (Feierwerk). The americana and folk band will play their first album “Valley of Rain”.
