One day in 1947, the photographers Robert Capa, William Vandivert, Henri Cartier-Bresson, George Rodger, and David Seymour decided to create a very special photography cooperative. We are talking about Magnum, one of the most famous photo agencies in the world.
In 2017 Magnum Photos turned 7o and they celebrated it with a large exhibition and publication with not only their famous pictures but also with some memories of their archive like letters, contracts, and so on. An illustrated story of an institution that has become a legend and synonym of quality. Among their members, we can find the works of Alessandra Sanguinetti, Martin Parr, Cristina Garcia Rodero, Jim Goldberg, and other incredible photographers.
The exhibition Magnum Manifesto was shown the last year at the ICP New York and it will be shown exclusively in the Kunstfoyer München in Germany after that, from the 17th of October to the 27th of January, curated by Clément Chéroux. A special retrospective about a unique way of seeing the world.
