Top Concerts in December

  • Saturday 1st: First Aid Kit (Muffathalle). The concert is sold out but you can always try your luck at the door to watch this incredible Swedish duo.
  • Saturday 1st: Nils Frahm (Philarmonie am Gasteig). Producer and composer, Nils Frahm plays the piano with an experimental approach. Something unique!
  • Saturday 1st: L.A. Witch (Strom). They are the support band of Uncle Acid & The Deadbeats, and they are three girls who know how to rock.

  • Saturday 1st: Go!zilla (Import Export). They came from Italia and make versions of Jay Reatard. With this in mind, nothing can go wrong.
  • Saturday 1st: Puls festival (Bayerischen Rundfunk). Festival with MGMT, Dream Wife, Ilgen-Nur and many others. The festival is sold out, but maybe you can get a ticket if you are lucky enough.
  • Saturday 1st and Sunday 2nd: Contact festival (Zenith). Electronic music festival with Ritchie Hawtin, Sven Väth and other interesting artists and DJs.
  • Sunday 2nd: Denzel Curry (Muffathalle). The American rapper visits Munich to present his new album TA1300.
  • Sunday 2nd: Johnny Marr (Technikum). The half part of The Smiths have never stopped playing, and this time he comes to Munich as a solo artist.
  • Monday 3rd: Julia Holter (Münchner Kammerspiele). Neo-avantgarde with electronic touches, something really unique.
  • Monday 3rd:  Poison Point + Man Machine + Alex Kelman (Milla Club).Grotto Terrazza & Tapefruit present an “electronic last wave magic brutalism spirit” night.

  • Tuesday 4th: Molly Nilsson (Ampere). The magnetism of this artist is something really powerful and unique you shouldn’t miss. And she composed the beautiful song Hey Moon, covered after by John Maus.
  • Wednesday 5th: Mavi Phoenix (Ampere). This young girl is the new heroine of lo-fi pop.
  • Thursday 6th: Hearts Hearts / Naked Cameo (Milla Club). Two bands from Austria present their version of pop music. Hearts Hearts between happiness, energy, and lethargy, electronic and pop! Naked Cameo makes melancholy and harmonious synth pop music with so many details.
  • Friday 7th: Bicep (Blitz Music Club). The electronic duo from Belfast comes to Blitz to make you dance.
  • Saturday 8th: Hinds (Strom). The Spanish girl band knows what is girl power. Garage-rock and lo-fi songs and loads of attitude.

  • Monday 10th: Parcels (Muffathalle). Parcels are based in Berlin and were the new sensation of the past year with their pop songs with a soul touch and loads of flow. (Sold out).
  • Monday 10th: Cypress Hill (Zenith). The hip-hop icons from Los Angeles are visiting Munich to present their last album Elephants On Acid.
  • Tuesday 11th: Shopping (Milla Club). The UK postpunk trio makes music with party vibes and loads of humor.
  • Wednesday 12th: Sonic Jesus + Pigeon (Milla Club). Sonic Jesus is a must for those who like Friends of Gas or Die Nerven. Pigeon are fuzz, psych, and noise beat from Italy and Berlin.
  • Thursday 13th: Stereo Total (Rote Sonne). The eclectic duo will bring some “yé-yé-tronic to Munich. La musique automatique!
  • Friday 14th and Saturday 15th: Alien Disko festival (Münchner Kammerspiele). A festival from outer space and a good opportunity to discover/watch bands that are not coming so often to Munich like The Pastels, Otomoyo Yoshihide, Tenniscoats etc. You can read the interview we made to Markus Acher from The Notwist and organizer of the festival.

  • Saturday 15th: Prada Meinhoff (Unter Deck). Electro-punk with nerve played by Chrissie Nichols (voice) and René Riewer (bass, synths).
  • Saturday 15th: Munich Garage Fest (Glockenbachwerkstatt). Festival with bands like The Baron Four, The Embrooks, Mondo Ray and Les Darlings.
