Oh, summer! The happiest and relaxed time of the year is coming, and we can’t wait to celebrate it with music. The Sommer Nachts Traum (Summer Night Dream) is, apart of the famous Shakespeare’s book title, a day-festival in Munich in which you will feel like if you were in a fairy tale.
Fireworks, balloons, the best music, and delicious food. A day and night that will be a delight for the senses in one of the best Munich locations. The 20th of July Olympiapark will be the home for this multi-faceted and cosmopolitan festival with two different stages.
On the Coubertin Stage, the 80s artist Kim Wilde will bring some energic rock, presenting her last album “Here come the aliens”. No matter how long she has been in the music industry, she is still a pop icon who always thrills her fans. Young, but promising, Milow will share the stage with Wilde with hits like “Howling At The Moon” and “Little In The Middle” with a repertoire from melancholic-relaxed sounds to Feelgood titles that go straight to the heart.
The Halbinsel Stage will be located on the peninsula near the lake, where the one and only Róisín Murphy will bring some glitter and feminine empowerment. The former singer of Moloko has demonstrated that her voice and her performances are out of this world. She is a pure diva and her electro-pop show is something that you can’t miss. The band Pollyester, one of the most important cultural figures in Munich as the Süddeuschte Zeitung said some years ago, will share the stage with Roisin, offering retro-futuristic music with a funky and experimental touch. The HyTop DJs will be the icing on the cake of this dreamlike night while you watch the magic of the biggest fireworks in Germany. Sounds like a dream come true, right?+
