Fotodoks: Festival for Contemporary Documentary Photography

The theme for the seventh Munich edition of Fotodoks is Vis-à-vis, a French expression that means “face to face”. It concentrates on the idea of a neighbor, putting the focus on capitalistic and imperialistic structures.

The opening of the exhibition and the festival will be on the 16th of October at 6 pm in Lothringer13 Halle, and it will be an afterparty at Polka Bar with DJ Tanja and DJ Ralf.

Apart from an exhibition that will be available until the 24th of November, from the 16th to the 20th of October, the festival will host talks, lectures and film screenings with some of the current most interesting documentary photographers who will talk about the #metoo movement, Monsanto, or LGBT stories in Afghanistan, Kuwait and Pakistan, just to name a few.

All the events (except the long night of the Munich museums) have free entry and will take place at the Lothringer13 Halle (except the afterparty at Polka Bar). You can find the entire program on the Fotodoks website.
