The Virginia Wolf‘s novel Orlando tells the story of an aristocrat who has lived through several centuries and one day, he awakes as a woman. The actress Tilda Swinton, who starred the Sally Potter’s film adaptation in 1992, was inspired by this novel and she curated a photographic exhibition about it with works from Zackary Drucker, Lynn Hershman Leeson, Paul Mpagi Sepuya, Jamal Nxedlana, Walter Pfeiffer, Viviane Sassen at the Aperture Foundation in New York.
