Art like fashion or architecture has a big influence on cinema. Films are made of motion, and architecture can be static but in the film series Architekturfilmtage buildings are in movement. During these days we will travel to Buenos Aires, Berlin, Bucarest, Vienna or Palestine and visit different houses across the world.
For the 19th time, the Filmmuseum München hosts the Architekturfilmtage. In cooperation with the Bavarian Chamber of Architects, they present a program of short and long documentary films showing both “anonymous” houses and houses by famous architects such as Le Corbusier and Mies van der Rohe. The festival will open with the latest work by Carlos Saura about the “architect of light”: Renzo Piano – Un arquitecto para Santander (Architect of Light) (Thursday 4 April at 7 pm). Other interesting films that will be screened are Bonne Maman et Le Corbusier (Friday 5 April at 9 pm) or Sühnhaus (Sunday 7 at 6.30 pm).
