Paper is not dead! Welcome to the analog revolution! We live in an online world, that’s undeniable, but it’s also true that a good edition of a book or a magazine can be a precious treasure nowadays. If you work in publishing or marketing, or you are thinking of creating a book or publication or just are a person who loves print magazines and the pleasure of turn the pages, that’s the conference you need to attend.
Creative Paper Conference celebrates its 7th edition with 9 different speakers from different genres with a thing in common: their love for paper. The print world is celebrating a renaissance due to the many new developments in printing and finishing with innovative materials and creative possibilities. It is not only a playground for creative people but also becomes an essential marketing factor again.
This year over thirty exhibitors will be showing these new technical developments, answering expert questions and giving visitors ideas and samples. For its part, the speaker program will highlight aspects of the present and future of the print. Holger Windfuhr, art director of FAZ, will give insights into reading behavior and also into the design of print media. Herr und Frau Rio will talk about the Risografie technique and all the noise about it. As a print innovator in Switzerland, Lorenz Boegli is known across all borders: his new patented RGB printing process is as intriguing as it is appealing. The versatile Studio Oeding will talk about graphics implementations in packaging. For its part, Moodley will speak about packaging but also brand identity. Type Jockeys from Berlin will present some typographic and lettering innovations. The Studio Mut promises what his name says, breaking the conventions with courage. The unusual philosophy of the Atelier 522 will be there with an interdisciplinary team composed of architects, interior designers, photographers, communicators and more. The Bob Design is focused on materials and bookbinding art with offices in London and Zurich. And we will have time for a Pecha Kucha round focused in special projects.
