Exhibition: Facets of Queer
November 9, 2018 @ 7:00 pm - 11:00 pmFree
Nowadays, almost everybody knows the meaning of the word queer. Maybe your grandparents are not familiarized yet, but I’m sure they will. As you know, this word includes all the LGBT community, but it has two meanings, on one hand, it talks about sexual orientation, and on the other hand, it talks about gender. Two facets that can be interpreted in multiple ways.
The collective exhibition Facets of Queer present the works of different emerging artists and their interpretation of the word queer through history, as its multiples meanings and also in a personal and intimate way. The visions and works of Aleah Chapin, Alessandro Bostelmann, Benyamin Reich, Cigdem Aky, David Schermann, Ervil Jovkovic, Janina Roider, Julia Belova, Lena Kunz, Nils Franke, Reuben Negron, Seungyea Park, Stefanie Ziegler & Lisa Wenk, Tonino Mattu and Valentina Murabito reveals personal stories, from the most playful ones to the most serious, from religion to politics. A wide look into the queer and gay community.
The opening will take place on Friday the 9th of November. The exhibition will be available until the 15th of December.
