Inspiration: Lighting Up The Universe

February 8 @ 8:00 pm - 10:00 pm

The immensity of the Universe is something really unknown. It keeps secrets and dimensions that are difficult to explore, and this makes it so fascinating.

Looking at the stars in a field during a clear night and discover constellations is something magic and invite us to dream. Lighting Up the Universe is a lecture in English that help us to discover some of the mysteries of the universe.

As they say:

“Few 100 million years after the Big Bang, the first stars appeared ending what scientists refer to as the Dark Ages. Although no direct information on the properties of these stars is available, they are expected to be different from those observed today. They are also thought to initiate Cosmic Reionization, a major change in the physical
properties of the gas pervading the Universe, which affects the subsequent structure formation process and shapes the galaxies as they appear today. A new generation of radio telescopes is attempting to observe Reionization directly for the first time.”

Benedetta Ciardi (Max-Planck- Institute for Astrophysics) is the one who will hold this lecture, giving us the opportunity to know more about dark and cosmic skies.
