Thursdays at Haus der Kunst: Jörg Immendorff. For all Beloved in the World

December 6 @ 7:00 pm - 10:00 pm

Free

The artist Jörg Immendorff (1945-2007) has been always known for being a rebel and a political agitator. In his Café Deutschland series during the 70s, he explored the conflicts between the wall in Berlin, exposing the differences between East and West.

Haus der Kunst offers a retrospective of Immendorff’s works called For all Beloved in the World, which take a look on the soft side of this thoughtful artist. With more than 200 works of art, the exhibition doesn’t follow a chronological order but highlight the main points of his artistic career, which never stopped, even when he had diagnosed with ALS in 1998.

This Thursday 6th is the first Thursday of the month of December, so that means you can visit for free all the current exhibitions at Haus der Kunst. The exhibition will be available until the 27th of January 2019. Apart from the Jorg Immendorff exhibition, you can also visit Vivan Sundaram: Disjunctures, Archive Gallery or Generations Part 2: Female Artists in Dialogue.
