Yesterday’s Tomorrow: Filmreihe zu Zukunftsvisionen & Sci-Fi
February 9, 2018 @ 6:00 pm - February 11, 2018 @ 5:00 pmFree
The future doesn’t belong to anybody, or on the contrary, is the hope for new generations. The motto of generation X in the 90s was “No future”, a nihilist statement that could be true in some ways. Be that as it may, there is something stimulating about what is to come.
The Neue Sammlung in cooperation with the Hochschule für Fernsehen und Film München (HHF München) had created the film festival Yesterday’s Tomorrow with a mix of classic films, documentaries, and auteur cinema. Visions of the future, living in a spaceship and high technology are the topics showed in the films you will watch during three days at the Ernst von Siemens-Auditorium in Pinakothek der Moderne and the Kino 2 at HHF München.
For the opening on Friday 9th, they have chosen some Swiss and German short films: Erntefaktor Null, Mars Closer, and The Centrifuge Brain Project. On Saturday 10th, they had organized three different sections with three different films: Archive für the Zukunft (archive for the future), with the German film What will remain, Zukunftsvisionen (or visions of the future) with Blade Runner 2049 in Original Version with Subtitles, and Leben in Raumschiff (life in a spaceship) with the film Moon, also in original version. The morning of the last day is reserved for kids, with a film that would be announced soon, and the afternoon will be dedicated to the super gadgets with a surprise film with Doris Kay. The future is here!
