Three women and three different visions of modernism. Georgiana Houghton, Hilma af Klint, and Emma Kunz developed their unique abstract artistic visions about transcendental, spiritual and supernatural issues during the beginning of the XX century. The exhibition World Receivers at Lenbachhaus explores their oeuvre and their experiences with spiritual communication as they perceived themselves as mediums or recipients of messages that could be only communicated through art.
